My Philosopy of Education: The Dream Catcher

A teachers’ personal philosophy of special education is a critical element in his or her approach to guiding children along the path of enlightenment. The teacher must understand and have knowledge of IDEA and the IEP. In my opinion, understanding these tactics play a very important role in a special education teacher. Therefore, I prefer an eclectic discernment in my quest of an educational philosophy. I believe a teacher should inspire learning in addition to relating the required facts. A certain amount of creativity, enthusiasm, and motivation is required of the special education teacher. Special education teachers play a huge role in children’ lives on a daily basis. My idea of the perfect teacher is one who inspires children to never stop dreaming.
